European cuisine in the old town of Tallinn.
Munga Kelder
✻
Hidden in the Medieval archway between Vene Street and St. Catherine’s Passage, the Monk’s Cellar is a mix of stone floors, heavy wood and hanging garlic cloves. Stained glass depictions of monks add an extra touch of colour to the décor. The menu here is European, with choices like frogs legs, German potato salad, Chateaubriand and turkey fillet.

GOOD Based on 441 reviews Stalevar2024-03-06Verified Classical restaurant in a nicely renovated cellars! We were searching of a place to eat there with a family and found, also based on reviews and comments. It is nice typical underground level (in cellar) restaurant (in a summer time it has street tables too) with good menu, tasty. Friendly staff and moderate prices. Can recommend. Located nicely in the old city. Recomendable 100% NorthStar591988597762023-12-02Verified Swietne miejsce Swietne jedzenie , atmosfera i obsluga, chleb smazony z czosnkiem , wieprzowin z kapustą, sledz, bardzo mi sie podobalo :) hormar2023-11-16Verified Very nice. 14 Nov 2023. Very nice place, very nice. Not too expensive. Good food. Good service. Better choice of beer, please. 92/100 - because of beer. In the center of Tallinn's Old Town At the end of the tourist season,at 5.30 p.m,we were alone at the restaurant. Nevertheless we enjoyed the authentic atmosphere of the place as well as the dishes. We recommend their awesome bread and staffed chicken fillet.
